Macro Photography Classes: Learning to See (For the first time) |
A typical Nikonos macro photo set-up: a 28 mm. lens with 1:2 extension tube set-up with a wire framer.. |
As one of our students at Dive USA is demonstrating, this proportion and extension tube causes what is positioned in the framer to show up 1/2 its' size on a picture. It is also what we use for our regular classes.. |
Macro photography classes are fun because beginning students can generally take some memorable photos, even while right in our "outdoor classroom". |
The class moves quickly from academic theory and camera set-up, to controlled open water environments. Dive USA's Macro Photography Laboratory/underwater classroom is under the Blue Heron Blvd. bridge, a short walk from our facility on Singer Island. |
