Diving in your zone

The Hunt For Macro Monsters, cont...

If finding these macro creatures appeals to you, then the kind of dive you are going to want to do IS going to be different than the dive "most" people on

Diving in your zone

most diveboats are going to want to do. You will need to go slow. Really Slow! You will need to focus down, to see the creatures that really do not want to be seen. Most likely, you will stop alot, and in one hour of diving, you "might" only move 25 feet, less if you get really lucky. You need a buddy that wants the same creature hunt that you want. Better still, you want to be part of a special group on the boat, that dives regularly on just exactly this type of dive. Being in a special group, you can count on the boat taking you to special rubble zones where your hunting party will most likely find the creatures they are interested in. Without the group, you may get good rubble sometimes, but a single "macro diver" versus 12 "typical" divers will more or less be an afterthought on any boat. It could be, that you want, what the others just don't have enough sense to want :-)
